THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM, A GOSPEL OF POWER....

"Besides this evidence (the declaration of the Gospel by the Lord Himself and the witnesses who heard him)  it was also established and plainly endorsed by God, Who showed His approval of it by signs and wonders and various miraculous manifestations of His power and by imparting the gifts of the Holy Spirit to the believers according to His own will." Heb 2:4 AMP

Father endorsed & sealed His approval of the words of the Son with amazing works of His Power.

Before ascending to receive His place at the right hand of Father, Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature of the whole human race." Those who believe and are baptized, will be saved from the penalty of eternal  death. Those who do not, are condemned. Mark 16:15-16

Then He continued....."...these signs (wonders, works of power) will follow those who believe in My name........these attesting signs will accompany those who believe in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents; and even if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well." Mark 16:17-18

Paul said, "And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power so that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God." i Cor. 2:4-5.  Paul spoke these words to the Corinthian believers and also turned all the then known world on fire for Jesus Christ!

These wonders, signs and miracles, extraordinary works of our awesome Father's supernatural power attest to the Truth of the Gospel. They are the proof-positive that our God is real, loving, good, faithful and reliable. They're heaven's reality superimposed on the earthly reality. The perfection of Papa's celestial realm has more weight and substance than anything we might perceive here on earth.

A Gospel without a demonstration of power is not the Gospel of the Kingdom!

LOVE COVERS..........A conversation with Holy Spirit

LOVE COVERS: A conversation with Holy Spirit

Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins [forgives and disregards the offenses of others]. I Peter 4:8 AMP

On Tuesday, I was speaking with HS as I was praying for someone I know. It seems that no matter how hard this person tries to live the Christian life, trouble seems to find her. He showed me this person going through life with a HUGE target on her back. The target is so big it attracts all types of troubles, ailments, accidents, calamities, disasters, & disruptions. No sooner does one one crisis end, another one is looming in the horizon. I was very saddened by what I saw and asked Him what to do. As a prophetic enactment, He told me to take a cloak and throw it over her back because LOVE COVERS. Then he showed me how every time I pray for her, because I love her and I care what happens to her, the target is no longer seen, it becomes covered over because, as He said to me, LOVE COVERS!

Early the next morning he continued to show me things on the theme of LOVE COVERS. He distinctly told me LOVE DOES NOT EXPOSE, LOVE COVERS! The next scene was horrific! He showed me EXPOSURE and how it happens. He showed me believers gossiping about other believers. He showed me believers passing judgment on other believers. He showed me believers ripping masks of protection off other believers. He showed me believers lying about other believers. He showed me believers slandering other believers, making up stories about them. He showed me believers walking in unforgiveness towards other believers. Simply put, the whole scene was chaotic! And as each of these anti-christ and anti-love actions were taking place, the covers were being removed, leaving the people uncovered. Yes, believers were being exposed to distress, predicaments, traumas, crises and personal catastrophes because the cloak of love had been removed. Again Holy Spirit said to me, LOVE DOES NOT EXPOSE, LOVE COVERS! Even if they’re manifesting unrenewed thinking or unsanctified behaviour, LOVE COVERS. Even if they’ve exposed themselves, LOVE COVERS. Even if they’re ignorant or unteachable or haven't caught a revelation, and will not heed your words or Mine, LOVE COVERS.

Then He showed me some believers covering while other believers uncovered......all happening at the same time, to the same people. It was crazy! He showed me a body in dysfunction, out of sync! Again Holy Spirit repeated, LOVE DOES NOT EXPOSE, LOVE COVERS!

We cannot be deceived. When we needed a Redeemer and Saviour, when we were in the pit of destruction as we all were before Christ and only God in His love and grace, mercy and kindness could reach down to the depths of our sin and iniquity, are we not glad His LOVE COVERED us? Still today, when we’re in the throes of difficult challenges and need prayer, are we not glad someone is LOVINGLY COVERING us? How can we be so double-minded?

As I was writing this tonight, Holy Spirit took me to James 3, “8 the human tongue can be tamed by no man. It is a restless (undisciplined, irreconcilable) evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With it we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse men who were made in God's likeness! 10 Out of the same mouth come forth blessing and cursing. These things, my brethren, ought not to be so. 11 Does a fountain send forth [simultaneously] from the same opening fresh water and bitter? 12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine figs? Neither can a salt spring furnish fresh water.”

Galatians 5 tells us that a little leaven leavens the whole lump. In other words, a little bitterness contaminates the whole soul. A little contention contaminates the whole soul. A little anger contaminates the whole soul. We cannot claim to live in righteousness while we continue to expose our brethren because a little leaven contaminates all. It also clearly lists all the deeds of the flesh, including, “enmity, strife, jealousy, anger (ill temper), selfishness, divisions (dissensions),” (Gal 5:20 AMP)

Taking the opposing spirit to the deeds of the flesh, will produce the Fruit of the Spirit in our lives. There is always an opposing spirit to take while depending on Holy Spirit. When strife rears its ugly head, we establish peace. When jealousy shows its greenery, we dispense love, kindness and temperance. When division manifests, we bring back unity. This is the Kingdom in operation!

“22 But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, 23 gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge]. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus (the Messiah) have crucified the flesh (the godless human nature) with its passions and appetites and desires. 25 If we live by the [Holy] Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. [If by the Holy Spirit we have our life in God, let us go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit.] 26 Let us not become vainglorious and self-conceited, competitive and challenging and provoking and irritating to one another, envying and being jealous of one another.”

It continues in Galatians 6, “1 Brethren, if any person is overtaken in misconduct or sin of any sort, you who are spiritual [who are responsive to and controlled by the Spirit] should set him right and restore and reinstate him, without any sense of superiority and with all gentleness, keeping an attentive eye on yourself, lest you should be tempted also.” LOVE COVERS!

2 Bear (endure, carry) one another's burdens and troublesome moral faults, and in this way fulfill and observe perfectly the law of Christ (the Messiah) and complete what is lacking [in your obedience to it].” What is the perfect law of Christ? Love one another as I have loved you! LOVE COVERS!

“3 For if any person thinks himself to be somebody [too important to condescend to shoulder another's load] when he is nobody [of superiority except in his own estimation], he deceives and deludes and cheats himself. 4But let every person carefully scrutinize and examine and test his own conduct and his own work. He can then have the personal satisfaction and joy of doing something commendable [in itself alone] without [resorting to] boastful comparison with his neighbor.” Why? Because LOVE COVERS!

We can do all these things, simply because as we have received freely we give. As we have been loved, so also we love. As we have been covered by the love of God in Christ Jesus, so also we cover other.

LOVE COVERS!

I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another. John 13:34 AMP

This is My commandment: that you love one another [just] as I have loved you. John 15:12 AMP

No one has greater love [no one has shown stronger affection] than to lay down (give up) his own life for his friends. John 15:13 AMP

This is what I command you: that you love one another. John 15:17 AMP

No man has at any time [yet] seen God. But if we love one another, God abides (lives and remains) in us and His love (that love which is essentially His) is brought to completion (to its full maturity, runs its full course, is perfected) in us! I John 4:12 AMP

By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves]. John 13:35 AMP

LOVE COVERS!

THE POWER OF SUGGESTION.............

THE POWER OF SUGGESTION.....

The Lord once said to me, "Be careful about the power of suggestion."
Sometimes people with authority can make suggestions
which we receive because of who they are.

For example, my physician told me one time
"You probably have shingles, you will be in pain for 5 months."
I prayed against his suggestion for 10 hours,
all the way to Hawaii - next day - no shingles.

I read this in Kathy’s Facebook page and immediately it shot off in my spirit.

As believers, in this world but not of this world,
we are surrounded by the power of suggestion.
Television, specially, bombards our senses and our souls
to accept calamities that do not belong to us.

It's cold and flu season.
Don't hug me, I have a cold.
Have this problem? Try this new medication!

TV with the latest and greatest gadgets, dress codes,
newest & fastest cars, surgical bodies, 21 yr old skinny models,
alternative lifestyles, ad infinitum........but especially pervasive
in the area of sickness and disease.

The answer is to renew our mind to the word,
wear our helmet of salvation at all times
and not engage in or partner with those suggestions.

It's cold and flu season? Maybe for everyone else, but not for me!

Don't hug me, I have a cold. Don't worry about it.
You need a hug and I'm inoculated against disease
by the Blood of Jesus.

Have this problem? Try this new medication!
No thanks, I have this Great Physician who heals me.

We have the answer...........we just need to be attentive,
proactive and use it/declare it/battle it out while resting
in the finished work of the Cross.

ENJOYING I THESS. 5:11-22...............

I so enjoy Paul's bullet points at the end of I Thessalonians 5....
a primer for healthy and sound Christian living.

Encourage, admonish, and exhort one another and edify
(strengthen and build up) one another, just as you are doing.

Hold your leaders in very high and most affectionate esteem
in intelligent and sympathetic appreciation of their work.

Be at peace among yourselves.

Admonish (warn and seriously advise) those who are out of line -
the loafers, the disorderly, and the unruly.

Encourage the timid and fainthearted,
help and give your support to the weak.

Be very patient with everybody,
always keeping your temper.

Do not repay evil for evil, but always aim to show kindness
and seek to do good to one another and to everybody.

Be happy in your faith and rejoice and be glad-hearted continually (always).

Be unceasing in prayer, praying perseveringly.

Thank God in everything, no matter what the circumstances may be -
be thankful and give thanks.

Do not quench, suppress or subdue the Holy Spirit.

Do not spurn the gifts and utterances of the prophets
(obviously referring to NT prophets as the Thessalonians
had no connection to or knowledge of the writings of the OT prophets. Selah!)

Test and prove all things until you can recognize what is good; to that hold fast.

Abstain from evil - shrink from it and keep aloof from it -
in whatever form or whatever kind it may be.
